ANZHS Annual Scientific Meeting 2026
August 8 @ 8:00 am - August 9 @ 5:00 pm UTC+10

The ANZHS educational and scientific meeting for 2026 once again covers a broad spectrum of clinical and scientific aspects of headache medicine, delivered by local and international headache experts. Topics include mindfulness and wholistic care of the person with migraine, cognitive considerations in migraine, managing migraine in pregnancy and lactation, and much more!
New to this year is our GP breakout session on Saturday which includes local headache experts discussing how to design a migraine management plan, migraine in midlife, managing medication overuse headache in primary care.
We are excited to announce our key note speaker, Professor Rebecca Wells, Founder and Director of the Comprehensive headache programme at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston Salem North Caroline, USA, Immediate Past President of the Southern Headache Society and on the Board of Directors of the American Headache Society. She is also an accomplished mindfulness instructor.
Clinicians are invited to submit their scientific abstracts and clinical cases for the oral platform and poster sessions. The Peter Goadsby Award will be presented for the best scientific abstract, the Jim Lance Award presented for the best clinical case and the Paul Spira travel grant will be presented for the best abstract.
The conference will take place in person in Melbourne from Saturday August 8th to Sunday August 9th 2026. We encourage all delegates to attend in person for networking and live workshops as there will be no live streaming option.
