Membership Levels
New membership application requirements:-
- Copy of your current CV.
- The names of two nominees that the ANZHS council will review and approve.

Active Membership
Active Members include doctors* with a Bachelor of Medicine including, but not restricted to, neurologists, pain specialists, anaesthetists, neurosurgeons and general practitioners; or scientific researchers in the field of headache with a PhD.
This membership level provides access to secure content such as events, webinars and online conferences free of charge which are otherwise inaccessible to non-members.
* Junior doctors, including residents, registrars and fellows, should apply to become “Trainee Members”
$75.00 per Year. Members in Australia will be charged 10% GST.
Membership is a recurring subscription with renewal January 2025
Associate or Trainee Membership
Associate Members include scientists and researchers, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, dentists, social workers, physical therapists and other allied health. Associate membership includes all the benefits of Active membership except voting privileges and election to the Council.
Trainee Members should be enrolled full time in graduate or postgraduate training in the fields of medicine, dentistry, psychology, or other bioscience.
This membership level provides access to secure content such as events, webinars and online conferences free of charge which are otherwise inaccessible to non-members.
Membership is a recurring subscription with renewal January 2025
Associate or Trainee Membership
Associate Members include scientists and researchers, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, dentists, social workers, physical therapists and other allied health. Associate membership includes all the benefits of Active membership except voting privileges and election to the Council.
Trainee Members should be enrolled full time in graduate or postgraduate training in the fields of medicine, dentistry, psychology, or other bioscience.
This membership level provides access to secure content such as events, webinars and online conferences free of charge which are otherwise inaccessible to non-members.
Combined Membership (ANZHS & IHS)
Combined Members include doctors with a Bachelor of Medicine including, but not restricted to, neurologists, pain specialists, anaesthetists, neurosurgeons and general practitioners; or scientific researchers in the field of headache with a PhD.
This membership level provides access to secure content such as events, webinars and online conferences free of charge which are otherwise inaccessible to non-members.
This membership includes the IHS Standard Membership at a reduced price of $125 and the ANZHS Active Membership at $50, totalling $175 (Subject to variation in currency conversion rates).
Please contact IHS directly if you require a different level of membership such as trainee, adjunct or standard print memberships.
